Setup E-mail – Outlook 2010

If you have an e-mail account with PowerNET already, the following will step you through how to set that up in Outlook 2010. If you do not yet have an e-mail account, please contact us to set that up.
Open outlook 2010. Click File, and then click Add Account.

Select Manually configure server settings or additional server types, and then click Next.

Select Internet E-Mail, and then click Next.

Enter your name and email address in the provided boxes, then enter in the boxes for Incoming and Outgoing Mail Server.
Enter your full email address in the User Name box and enter your password in the box provided. Make sure that the Remember Password box is checked.
Select More Settings, then select the Outgoing Server tab. Make sure the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication box is checked.

Select the Advanced tab. Change the Outgoing server (SMTP) port number to 587, then click OK.

Click Next. Outlook will test the settings you entered. If any errors occur, please contact PowerNET for support.

Click Finish. Your email account is now setup and ready to use.
